China's shrimp exports are expected to dip by 2.5% a year on average to just over 66 million kilograms by 2026, down from 76 million kilograms in 2021. This marks a 5.5% drop since 1997. Indonesia was the top exporter in 2021 with 76 million kilograms, followed by Ecuador, Argentina and China. Meanwhile, imports are expected to increase by 3.7% a year on average to 311 million kilograms by 2026, up from 249 million kilograms in 2021. This marks a 20.4% increase since 1997. The United States was the top importer in 2021 with 249 million kilograms, followed by China, Spain and Japan.
