In 2021, the country ranked 38th in shrimp imports, with Switzerland coming in ahead of India at 3,998,100 kilograms. China, Spain and Japan ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Exports of Indian shrimp are forecasted to rise 3.1% year on year CAGR, from 663,120,000 kilograms in 2021 to 806,150,000 kilograms by 2026. This marks a 9.9% increase since 1993. Ecuador, Argentina and Indonesia ranked second, third and fourth, respectively, in the shrimp export ranking.
