Korea's shrimp exports are projected to dip slightly to 3.7 million kilograms in 2026, from 3.7 million kilograms in 2021, a decrease of 0.2% each year on average. Since 1993, the country's supply has grown by 37%. In 2021, Korea ranked 36th in the world for shrimp exports, with Estonia in the lead at 3.7 million kilograms. Ecuador, Argentina and Indonesia came in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, respectively. Korea's shrimp imports, meanwhile, are expected to reach 69 million kilograms in 2026, up from 61 million in 2021, a rise of 2.1% each year on average. Since 1993, the nation's demand has grown by 6%. In 2021, Italy topped the list at 61 million kilograms, with Korea in 7th place. China, Spain and Japan followed in that order.
