Morocco's export of shrimp is expected to fall to 3 million kilograms by 2026, a 4.3% decrease from the 4 million kilograms reported in 2021. Since 1998, exports have decreased by 10.5% year on year. In 2021, Morocco was the 33rd largest exporter, overtaken by the Philippines, Ecuador, Argentina and Indonesia. Morocco's shrimp imports are set to reach 15 million kilograms by 2026, a 1.2% increase from the 14 million kilograms reported in 2021. Since 1998, imports have decreased by 2.1% year on year. In 2021, Morocco was the 18th largest importer, overtaken by Thailand. China, Spain and Japan were the second, third and fourth largest importers respectively.
