Macedonian shrimp imports are expected to increase to around 327,000 kilograms by 2026, up from 242,000 kilograms in 2021. This is a 5% annual growth rate. Since 2000, the demand for shrimp in Macedonia has grown by an average of 34%. In 2021, it was ranked 74th in terms of shrimp imports, with Honduras coming in first at 242,000 kilograms. China, Spain and Japan were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively. Macedonian shrimp exports are expected to reach around 183,000 kilograms by 2026, up from 132,000 kilograms in 2021. This is a 5.4% average annual growth rate. Since 2018, the supply of shrimp in Macedonia has increased by 73.9%. In 2021, it came in 62nd in terms of shrimp exports, with Cameroon ahead at 132,000 kilograms. Ecuador, Argentina and Indonesia were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
