Since 1999, demand has been climbing at a rate of 14% a year. In 2021, Lithuania ranked 54th in the world, with Croatia coming in ahead at the same level. China, Spain and Japan took the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots, respectively. Meanwhile, exports of shrimp from Lithuania are expected to reach 636,000 kilograms by 2026, up 4.1% annually on average from 489,000 kilograms in 2021. Since 1999, supply has been increasing at a rate of 73% a year. Lithuania was 53rd in the world in 2021, with New Zealand just above it. Ecuador, Argentina and Indonesia occupied the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots, respectively.
