Pakistani imports and exports of shrimp are set to increase in the next five years. In 2021, Pakistan imported 7,540 kilograms of shrimp, a 36.3% increase from 2010. This made them the 111th largest importer in the world, behind Botswana's 7,540 kilograms. China, Spain and Japan ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Pakistan's exports of shrimp are expected to reach 11,156,000 kilograms by 2026, a 0.9% year-on-year increase from 2021. Since 2008, the country's supply has grown by 1.8% annually. In 2021, Pakistan was the 24th largest exporter, behind France's 10,601,000 kilograms. Ecuador, Argentina and Indonesia were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
