Indonesian shrimp imports have plummeted 3.9% in 2021, totaling 508,550 kilograms compared to 529,170 kilograms the previous year. Since 1994, demand has dropped a staggering 22.9%. In 2021, Indonesia was ranked number 66, while Jordan topped the list with 508,550 kilograms. China, Spain and Japan followed, taking the second, third and fourth spots respectively. Indonesian shrimp exports, meanwhile, are projected to reach 171,560,000 kilograms by 2026, up 1.5% year on year. Since 1994, supply has increased 2.8%. In 2021, Indonesia was ranked fourth, with 157,390,000 kilograms, behind Argentina. Ecuador, Argentina and Indonesia were the second, third and fourth most significant exporters respectively.
