Cyprus's shrimp import is expected to reach 1.4 million kilograms by 2026, up 1.7% year on year. In 2021, the country was number 51, just behind Israel with 1.2 million kilograms. China, Spain, and Japan were the top three importers. Cyprus's shrimp export, however, dropped dramatically in 2018 to 17 kilograms, down 98.3% from the 969 kilograms in 2017. Since 1994, the country's supply has decreased by more than 70%.
