Lebanese shrimp exports are projected to decline by 3.7% in 2026, compared to 2021. In 2021, the country's exports of shrimp amounted to 2,350 kilograms and dropped 8.9% since 2002. Lebanon came in at 81st place in the global ranking of shrimp exports, with Finland taking the lead with 2,350 kilograms. Ecuador, Argentina, and Indonesia followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively. Meanwhile, imports of shrimp in Lebanon are expected to increase 2.8% in 2026, compared to 2021. In 2021, the country's imports of shrimp totaled 2,590,900 kilograms, representing a growth of 8.6% since 2002. Lebanon was placed 44th in the world ranking of shrimp imports, with Costa Rica having the highest imports of 2,590,900 kilograms. China, Spain, and Japan ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
