Qatari shrimp imports are expected to reach nearly 6 million kilograms by 2026, a 3.4% average annual growth rate since 2021 when it stood at 4.7 million kilograms. Since 2005, imports have risen by an average of 12.2% each year. Last year, Qatar ranked 35th in shrimp imports, with the Philippines overtaking it at 4.7 million kilograms. China, Spain and Japan ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
