Mauritania's cheese production is set to increase by 2% each year until 2026. In 2021, the country produced 7,920 metric tons, a 1.9% year-on-year increase since 1966. At 82nd in the ranking, the Dominican Republic was the only country ahead of Mauritania with 7,020 metric tons. Germany, France and Italy followed with the second, third and fourth highest production figures.
