Cheese consumption is set to rise in the coming years, with an average year on year rate of 1.4%. In 2020, France, the UK and Germany were the top three countries in terms of consumption, with 98.4 million kilograms in total. Croatia's cheese production is also expected to increase in the coming years, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 1.3%. Since 1997, Croatia's supply has grown by 1% year on year, and in 2021, it was the 55th largest producer, overtaken by South Africa. Germany, France and Italy were the top three producers in 2021.
