Japan's cheese production is set to drop by 2.4% a year, on average, by 2026. In 2021, the country produced 76,950 metric tons. That's down 2.8% since 1966. Saudi Arabia overtook Japan in the rankings, producing 88,890 metric tons of cheese in 2021. Germany, France and Italy held the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
