**Brazilian Tobacco Consumption to Decline, Production Also Set to Dip by 2028** Brazilian tobacco consumption is projected to decline significantly over the next five years. On the production side, Brazil's tobacco output is also forecasted to see a slight decline. By 2028, production is set to reach approximately 749,580 metric tons, down from 761,870 metric tons in 2023. This marks an annual decrease of 0.3% in compound annual growth rate (CAGR). Despite this dip, Brazil has seen a long-term increase in tobacco supply, with a yearly growth rate of 0.2% since 1966. As of 2023, Brazil ranks as the third-largest tobacco producer globally. India leads the rankings with 761,870 metric tons, followed by Zimbabwe in fourth place.
