In global rankings for 2023, Japan held the 36th position in tobacco production. Lebanon surpassed Japan with a production level equal to Japan's 10,720 metric tons. Leading the global rankings, India, Brazil, and Zimbabwe occupied the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
