This represents an average annual decrease of 3.2%. The downward trend in Peru's tobacco supply has been ongoing since 1966, with an average yearly reduction of 2.2%. In the global rankings for 2023, Peru was positioned at number 68, just behind Ukraine, which also produced around 1,740 metric tons. Leading the list were India, Brazil, and Zimbabwe, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
