Since 1966, Guatemala's tobacco supply has consistently increased by an average of 1.7% per year. In 2023, the country ranked 19th in global tobacco production, just behind Uganda, which also produced about 32,500 metric tons. Leading the global rankings, India, Brazil, and Zimbabwe occupied the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
