Since 1966, Zambia's tobacco supply has experienced a robust yearly increase of 3.6%. This upward trend has propelled the country to the sixth position globally in 2023. In the same year, Indonesia surpassed Zambia, producing around 175,000 metric tons of tobacco. Leading the global rankings, India secured the second spot, followed by Brazil and Zimbabwe in third and fourth places, respectively.
