Smoking in Luxembourg is set to decrease in the coming years. According to the latest figures, 16.5% of people aged 15 and over were daily smokers in 2021, a figure that is set to drop to 15.9% by 2026. Since 2006, smoking in Luxembourg has grown at a rate of 2.1 points per year. In the 2021 ranking, Luxembourg placed 18th, overtaken by Poland with 16.5% of people aged 15 and over who are daily smokers. Russia, Greece and Hungary were the top three in the ranking, respectively.
