In 2023, France continued to dominate European soft cheese production with a volume of 523.14 thousand metric tons, despite a slight decline of 0.69% from the previous year. Greece and Italy followed, showing growth at 3.35% and 2.08% respectively. Notably, Spain and Czech Republic experienced significant growth rates of 7.32% and 19.1%, highlighting increasing production dynamics. Conversely, Croatia saw a significant drop of 28.8%. Cyprus exhibited the most remarkable growth, surging by 74.73%. The last five years saw a mix of stability and growth, with some Eastern European countries contributing to an uplift in the overall production landscape.
