Barite exports in United States: Drop in 2017

U.S. Geological Survey announced that compared to the year before the variable fell by 27.52 percent. Barite export declined from 109 thousand tonnes in 2016 to 79 thousand tonnes prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 21.58 percent. The overall changes for the prior 20 years reached an increase of 426.67%. However, it has shown a drop at a 0.17 percent CAGR during the 5 years with a marginal overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 80.35 thousand tonnes from 1998 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 199 thousand tonnes in 2013 and record low of 15 thousand tonnes in 2007.
