National defense stockpile stocks of low-carbon ferrochromium, chromium content in United States decreases in 2017

U.S. Geological Survey announced that the indicator dropped by 21.66% in comparison with the year before. It hit its 15-year minimum as chromium stock went down by 4 149 metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 17.81 percent. The overall changes for the prior 15 years reached a diminution of 90.38%. Furthermore, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.14% during the last five years with a negligible overall fall since the 2003. It averaged 57 883.53 metric ton from 2003 to 2017 and it attained its maximum of 156 000 metric ton in 2003.
