Sunflower consumption in United States drops in 2017

According to adjusted data announced by U.S. Department of Agriculture, the indicator fell by 18.51% in comparison to the previous year. Sunflower consumption declined from 1 183 thousand tonnes to 964 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it decreased by 3.03 percent. United States saw a growth of 514.01% in sunflower consumption during the last 46 years. Likewise, it has shown the CAGR of 0.01 percent over the five years with a modest overall increase since the 1972. It averaged 1 005.72 thousand tonnes from 1972 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 2 027 thousand tonnes in 1998 and record low of 89 thousand tonnes in 1974.
