Petrochemical feedstock demand in Iceland: Decrease in April 2018

Refined oil products demand sharply dropped by 66.67% compared with the previous month, updated figures from JODI Data illustrate. The variable decreased greatly by 12.76 thousand barrels, contrarily to the previous month when it rose by 200 percent. One year earlier, this change reached -75% and the indicator hit 6.38 thousand barrels the same month one year earlier. In April 2017 and in the same month one year later, the variable's level is similar. Iceland saw a drop of 66.67% in refined oil products demand during the last 9 years. As well as the refined oil products demand is now below average of 7.38 thousand barrels with a overall fall since the start of time series. It attained its all-time high of 31.9 thousand barrels in January 2018 and record low of -12.76 thousand barrels in November 2013.
