Import of fresh or chilled scallops other than live to Namibia: Decline in 2016

The variable fell sharply by 44.23% in comparison with the prior year, according to refreshed data announced by United Nations Statistical Office. Scallops import went down greatly by 702 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it dropped by 55.61%. Namibia saw a rise of 637.5% in scallops import during the last 17 years. Furthermore, it has shown an increase at a 0.89% compound average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a negligible overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 2 294.88 kilogram from 2000 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 16 109 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 37 kilogram in 2012.
