Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Sri Lanka: Decrease in 2017

In comparison with the previous year horses import declined strongly by 44.25%, according to figures issued by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator sharply fell from 282 664 US Dollar in 2016 to 157 585.44 US Dollar prior year, in contrast to the previous year when it grew by 312.5%. The overall changes for the prior 28 years hit a rise of 1 353.2%. Though, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.14 percent during the 5 years with a marginal overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 35 467.87 US Dollar from 1990 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 327 763 US Dollar in 2013 and record low of 15 US Dollar in 2014.
