Import of fresh or chilled pig meat to France: Growth in 2017

According to new data published by European Commission, compared with 2016 the indicator went up by 10.88 percent. Pig meat import climbed from 411 941 440 Euro to 456 749 952 Euro, in contrast to the prior year when it fell by 21.34 percent. France saw a growth of 288.92% in pig meat import during the last 23 years. Still it has attained a decline at a 0.05 percent compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a marginal overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 341 690 280.35 Euro from 1995 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 596 747 072 Euro in 2013 and record low of 117 439 800 Euro in 1995.
