Number of internet users in China climbs in 2017

Number of internet users increased by 5.64 percent in comparison with the prior year, new figures from China National Statistical Office illustrate. The variable went up from 73 125 ten thousand persons to 77 250 ten thousand persons, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it climbed by 6.25 percent. It reached its 21-year peak. The overall changes for the prior 21 years hit a growth of 124 496.77%. Moreover, it has shown the compound annual growth rate of 0.05 percent during the 5 years with a slight overall increase since the 1997. It averaged 30 634.1 ten thousand persons from 1997 to 2017 and it attained its minimum of 62 ten thousand persons in 1997.
