Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Ecuador: Decrease in 2017

The variable decreased sharply by 74.36 percent in comparison with the previous year, according to new data published by United Nations Statistical Office. Horses import greatly diminished from 47 575 kilogram to 12 200 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went down by 12.16%. Ecuador saw a diminution of 24.74% in horses import over the past 27 years. Likewise, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.24% over the 5 years with a slight overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 54 648.89 kilogram from 1991 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 269 644 kilogram in 2002 and record low of 6 159 kilogram in 1999.
