Peanut production in Argentina: Increase in 2017

According to statistics published by U.S. Department of Agriculture, in 2017 the variable increased negligibly by 1.75%. The indicator barely grew from 1 140 thousand tonnes in 2016 to 1 160 thousand tonnes previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it rose by 22.58%. The overall changes for the previous 46 years reached an increase of 163.64%. Besides, it has had a 0.03 percent compound average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a slight overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 566.43 thousand tonnes from 1972 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 1 188 thousand tonnes in 2014 and record low of 236 thousand tonnes in 1982.
