Vehicles production in Venezuela: Decline in 2017

Compared with one year earlier vehicle production sharply fell by 37.75 percent, according to revised numbers released by OICA. It's the lowest value on record since 1999 as the indicator greatly decreased by 1 076, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it dropped by 84.43 percent. The overall changes for the prior 19 years attained a decline of 65.35%. Furthermore, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.52 percent during the last five years with a slight overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 66 874.79 from 1999 to 2017 and it reached its maximum of 172 418 in 2007.
