Crude oil production in Brunei: Rise in June 2018

According to figures issued by JODI Data, the indicator rose by 17.12% in June 2018. The variable increased from 2 627.68 thousand barrels to 3 077.58 thousand barrels, as it follows the tendency of the previous month when it went up by 25.01 percent. One year earlier, this variation attained -19.72 percent and the crude oil production reached 2 641.51 thousand barrels the same month one year earlier. Year-on-year, this demonstrates a 16.51 percent fluctuation between June 2017 and June 2018. Brunei saw a decline of 55.43% in crude oil production during the last 16 years. Besides, the crude oil production is now smaller than its average which equals 4 842.31 thousand barrels with a marginal overall drop since the start of observations. It hit its all-time high of 7 509.3 thousand barrels in March 2006 and record low of 2 101.97 thousand barrels in April 2018.
