Import of live pure-bred breeding horses to Sri Lanka falls in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office reported that horses import declined by 21.71 percent in comparison to the same time a year ago. The variable dropped by 4 947.31 US Dollar, in contrast to the prior year when it increased by 145.94%. The overall changes for the previous 25 years hit a decrease of 56.28%. As well as it has had a rise at a 0.14 percent compound average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a negligible overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 20 869.31 US Dollar from 1993 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 218 080 US Dollar in 2012 and record low of 3 066 US Dollar in 2009.
