European Commission announced that flax yarn import sharply went up by 108.7% compared with the prior year. The variable greatly grew by 11 240 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 86.98%. Latvia saw a decrease of 86.35% in flax yarn import over the past 15 years. Likewise, it has had a decline at a 0.31 percent compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a marginal overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 128 156 Euro from 2003 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 370 830 Euro in 2004 and record low of 5 530 Euro in 2015.
