Import of horse, ass, mule, hinny meat to Japan: Rise in 2017

Horse meat import climbed hardly by 4.96% in comparison to the previous year, according to data published by United Nations Statistical Office. Horse meat import slightly grew by 1 846 860 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went up by 11.39%. Japan saw a decline of 41.76% in horse meat import over the past 30 years. As well as it has shown a 0.06 percent compound annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 39 672 419.2 US Dollar from 1988 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 73 632 936 US Dollar in 1989 and record low of 19 855 176 US Dollar in 2002.
