According to updated figures presented by European Commission, flax yarn import went down strongly by 43.82 percent compared with 2016. The variable greatly diminished from 28 300 kilogram in 2016 to 15 900 kilogram previous year, contrarily to the prior year when it rose by 45.88 percent. Greece saw a diminution of 87.7% in flax yarn import during the last 13 years. Besides, it has had the compound annual growth rate of 0.07 percent over the last five years with a modest overall decrease since the 2005. It averaged 41 146.15 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 129 300 kilogram in 2005 and record low of 10 700 kilogram in 2012.
