Gas and diesel demand in Indonesia climbs in May 2018

Compared to the previous month gas and diesel oil demand went up by 7.85 percent, new numbers from JODI Data present. The indicator increased from 13 793.99 thousand barrels to 14 876.64 thousand barrels, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it climbed by 1.56 percent. When taking into account the prior year, it can be diagnosed that the variable was increasing by 3.74 percent and hit 13 022.37 thousand barrels in May. When considering the year-on-year picture, a 14.24% growth can be noticed between May 2017 and May 2018. Indonesia saw a rise of 33.07% in gas and diesel oil demand over the past 9 years. Moreover, the gas and diesel oil demand is now bigger than its average which equals 13 543.37 thousand barrels with a slight overall decline since the start of observations. It reached its all-time high of 22 108.33 thousand barrels in November 2011 and record low of 6 805.01 thousand barrels in June 2016.
