European Commission reported that flax yarn import decreased greatly by 33.33% in comparison with the same time an year ago. The variable dropped sharply from 900 kilogram in 2016 to 600 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 74.29 percent. Bulgaria saw a rise of 500% in flax yarn import over the past 12 years. Though, it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.3% over the five years with a modest overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 2 108.33 kilogram from 2006 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 4 100 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 100 kilogram in 2006.
