Floor space under construction of collective-owned construction enterprises in China decreases in 2017

The indicator declined by 7.33 percent in comparison with the previous year, according to statistics announced by China National Statistical Office. Construction production fell by 2 287.64 ten thousand square meter, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went down by 5.28%. The overall changes for the previous 29 years reached an increase of 50.26%. However, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.04 percent over the 5 years with a modest overall diminution since the 1989. It averaged 42 738.84 ten thousand square meter from 1989 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 74 668.4 ten thousand square meter in 1996 and record low of 17 619.7 ten thousand square meter in 1990.
