Chromium products used in superalloys manufacturing, chromium content in United States declines in 2015

Compared with the previous year chromium consumption hardly went down by 0.19%, according to updated data published by U.S. Geological Survey. Chromium consumption decreased slightly by 10 metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 4.09%. It attained its 15-year minimum. United States saw a decline of 36.65% in chromium consumption over the past 15 years. Moreover, it has shown a negative CAGR of 0.08% over the 5 years with a marginal overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 8 076.67 metric ton from 2001 to 2015 and it reached its maximum of 12 600 metric ton in 2005.
