Retail trade and food services sales in United States: Decrease in June 2018

In comparison to the prior month retail trade sales hardly dropped by 3.78 percent, according to revised statistics presented by U.S. Census Bureau. The indicator fell barely from 531 011 million US Dollars to 510 929 million US Dollars, in contrast to the prior month when it rose by 9.72%. June 2017, the variable diminished by -2.63 percent and attained 483 338 million US Dollars. In sum, the indicator was 5.71 percent larger in June 2017 than in the same month one year later. The overall changes for the previous 26 years reached a rise of 249.05%. In comparison with its average, the retail trade sales is now higher as the mean equals 322 452.84 million US Dollars with a marginal overall increase since the start of time series. It hit its all-time high of 561 418 million US Dollars in December 2017 and record low of 146 376 million US Dollars in January 1992.
