Fuel oil demand in Chile: Growth in May 2018

JODI Data reported that in May 2018 the variable climbed by 13.43 percent. Fuel oil demand went up from 21.05 thousand barrels per day to 23.88 thousand barrels per day, versus the prior month when it diminished by 11.84%. The year before, the indicator was decreasing by -12.81% and hit 19.93 thousand barrels per day in May 2017. When taking into account the year-on-year situation, a 19.78 percent growth can be announced between May 2017 and the same month the year after. Chile saw a rise of 87.93% in fuel oil demand over the past 16 years. Compared with its average, the fuel oil demand is now lower as the mean equals 26.47 thousand barrels per day with a overall increase since the start of time series. It attained its all-time high of 64.5 thousand barrels per day in April 2009 and record low of 11.09 thousand barrels per day in September 2004.
