Fuel oil import in Italy: Fall in May 2018

According to data presented by JODI Data, in comparison with the prior month the variable dropped by 5.43%. Fuel oil import declined by 45.15 thousand barrels, as it follows the tendency of the previous month when it fell by 32.46%. When taking into account the previous year, it can be observed that the indicator was climbing by 55.81 percent and reached 432.15 thousand barrels in May. This indicates a 82.09 percent fluctuation between May 2017 and the same month in 2018. Italy saw a decline of 86.14% in fuel oil import over the past 16 years. Compared with its average, the fuel oil import is now lower as the mean equals 1 404.89 thousand barrels with a negligible overall fall since the start of observations. It hit its all-time high of 7 462.65 thousand barrels in February 2002 and record low of 38.7 thousand barrels in January 2012.
