Commercial vehicles in use in India: Increase in 2017

According to refreshed numbers released by OICA, commercial vehicles in use slightly grew by 3.65% in comparison to the previous year. The indicator barely climbed from 6 634 thousand units to 6 876 thousand units, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 3.79 percent. It's new all-time peak since 2005. India saw an increase of 154.1% in commercial vehicles in use during the last 13 years. As well as it has shown a 0.03 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a modest overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 5 004.23 thousand units from 2005 to 2017 and it attained its minimum of 2 706 thousand units in 2005.
