Limestone sold or used by producers in United States grows in 2015

Compared to the previous year limestone production went up by 5.03 percent, according to adjusted figures released by U.S. Geological Survey. Limestone production climbed by 42 000 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it grew by 6.91%. The overall changes for the previous 15 years reached a decrease of 14.02%. Moreover, it has shown a raise at a 0.03% compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a modest overall decline since the start of observations. It averaged 915 533.33 thousand tonnes from 2001 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 1 120 000 thousand tonnes in 2006 and record low of 744 000 thousand tonnes in 2009.
