Limestone sold or used by producers in United States: Growth in 2017

According to new numbers issued by U.S. Geological Survey, limestone production grew by 5.19 percent in 2017. The variable climbed from 925 000 thousand tonnes in 2016 to 972 999 thousand tonnes previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it rose by 5.47 percent. The overall changes for the previous 17 years reached a diminution of 4.61%. Likewise, it has attained a 0.04 percent average annual growth rate over the last five years with a slight overall fall since the start of time series. It averaged 919 470.53 thousand tonnes from 2001 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 1 120 000 thousand tonnes in 2006 and record low of 744 000 thousand tonnes in 2009.
