Import of horse, ass, mule, hinny meat to Switzerland declines in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office published that compared with the prior year horse meat import decreased barely by 3.27 percent. The indicator declined negligibly by 1 238 272 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 8.74 percent. Switzerland saw a raise of 92.64% in horse meat import over the past 30 years. Still it has had a diminution at a 0.05 percent compound annual growth rate over the five years with a modest overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 36 054 807.07 US Dollar from 1988 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 54 725 480 US Dollar in 2012 and record low of 18 992 802 US Dollar in 1988.
