Average monthly mobile data usage per sim-card in Germany: Rise in 2016

According to figures presented by German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, mobile data traffic greatly increased by 48.23% in 2016. It shows the all-time peak since 2011 as the variable strongly grew by 204 megabyte, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went up by 46.37%. Germany saw a rise of 683.75% in mobile data traffic over the past 6 years. Likewise, it has attained a 0.41 percent compound annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a negligible overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 288 megabyte from 2011 to 2016 and it hit its minimum of 80 megabyte in 2011.
