Commercial vehicles in use in Hong Kong goes down in 2017

Commercial vehicles in use negligibly went down by 1.79 percent compared with the previous year, according to figures issued by OICA. Commercial vehicles in use dropped barely by 2.36 thousand units, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it fell by 1.76%. The overall changes for the previous 13 years reached a drop of 0.34%. Moreover, it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.01% over the last five years with a overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 131.65 thousand units from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 139.01 thousand units in 2013 and record low of 127 thousand units in 2009.
