Import of cotton yarn containing 85% or more by weight of cotton to Cameroon decreases in 2016

According to new data announced by United Nations Statistical Office, cotton import dropped greatly by 62.83% compared with the same time a year ago. The variable went down sharply from 58 164 US Dollar in 2015 to 21 622 US Dollar prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 11.37 percent. The overall changes for the prior 22 years attained a diminution of 46.68%. Likewise, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.12% during the last five years with a negligible overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 60 929.77 US Dollar from 1995 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 176 840 US Dollar in 1996 and record low of 4 291 US Dollar in 1997.
